November 22, 1976 was the day Pennswood Village went from a good idea to becoming a legal entity. That was the day the founders put pen to paper and made the community a real thing. Much had gone before, and much would follow in the process of forming Pennswood. We celebrate the day that Pennswood housed its first residents at the coming anniversary, but it was at Thanksgiving time four years earlier that Pennswood was born.
